“The Millennium of White Jade Bodhi Bracelet”
On the night when the oldest Bodhi tree in Chang’an was struck by lightning, the young monk in the temple picked up seven ivory seeds at the root of the tree. The old abbot stroked the seeds and said: “This is not a Bodhi seed, but the moonlight left by the Buddha in the world.”
When the craftsman Awan strung the seeds into a bracelet, he recited a sentence from the Diamond Sutra every time he cut a knife. On the day of the finished product, the whole street smelled a strange fragrance:
🌙 Sanskrit projections will appear on the beads under the moonlight
☀️ Colorful lights like relics can be seen in the sun
The most amazing thing is that when the plague broke out, no one was infected within three feet around the wearer, and people discovered that there was an unopened Udumbara flower hidden inside each bead.
Metaphor in Buddhist scriptures:
“Whiteness is not the absence of darkness, but the transformation of darkness into light”
(Craft secret: It takes seven years of patina with agarwood powder to stimulate the spirituality of the Bodhi seed)
