“Star Bracelet”
Su Xia, an astronomy student, met an old Tibetan woman while observing a meteor shower in Qinghai. The old woman ground the meteorite fragments she found into beads, strung them into a bracelet and handed it to her: “This is a fragment of a lost star. Wear it and you will never get lost in the dark.”
After returning to the city, Su Xia’s experimental data was always denied by her supervisor, and she was betrayed in love. One late night when she was working overtime, she touched the bracelet and suddenly found that those gray “meteorite beads” were flashing a very subtle blue light under the desk lamp, like forgotten galactic fragments.
She rushed to the rooftop and barely recognized Orion in the city light pollution. With the cold stone beads against her wrist, she suddenly realized: these stars traveled through billions of years of darkness to reach the earth, so what was the predicament she was facing?
Meaning:
Meteorite beads symbolize “fallen dreams”, reminding us that failure is also part of the cosmic journey
The real starlight is not in the sky, but in the courage to persist in shining
The deepest night often allows us to see the real stars in our hearts
(The core of the story: using the romance of the universe to dilute the anxiety of reality, suitable for encouraging young people who have encountered setbacks)
