“The Gift of the Ox Bone Bracelet”
Hunter Aji saved a wounded bison on a snowy night. Before it left, it touched his hand with its horns, leaving a faint mark. The next day, Aji found a string of white ox bone bracelets in the snow, each bead engraved with ancient runes.
When he went into the mountains with the bracelets, he could always avoid blizzards, and prey would actively walk into his traps – but never dying. The elders of the tribe said: “Ox bones carry the gratitude of living beings. If you use its power to take too much, the runes will disappear.”
Aji only took what he needed from then on. The bracelet became brighter and brighter, just like the moonlight on the snow that night.
(Meaning: Ox bones symbolize the gift of nature, the cycle of life and moderation. In Tibetan culture, it is believed that it carries the blessing of animals and must be used with awe.)
