Antique shop intern Zhou Wan found a faded blue velvet box while sorting out the warehouse. Inside lay a lapis lazuli bracelet, each bead with gold spots like the starry sky.

“This is an old item from the Republic of China,” shop owner Lao Chen stroked the bracelet, “It is said that it can make people dream of the person they want to see most.”

Zhou Wan secretly put it on. That night she dreamed that a woman in a cheongsam dismantled the bracelet in the war and stuffed the beads into different envelopes. When she woke up, there was ink stains on her wrist.

Following the clues of the dream, Zhou Wan found a diary from 1937 in the second-hand book market. Between the yellowed pages, there were three lapis lazuli with gold spots.
