“Twin Contracts of Tianyu Agarwood”
In the foggy valley at the border of Yunnan and Myanmar, there grows a kind of agarwood tree that can “cry”. When the tree is a hundred years old, a crack will appear in the trunk, and inside lies a piece of Tianyu that is as soft as fat. Locals call it “a token of love that was broken when the mountain god and his wife quarreled.” In the early years of the Republic of China, Dao Yan, the leader of the caravan on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, obtained a pair of rare items: 🌳 Agarwood will exude resin with tea fragrance on rainy nights (can cure all kinds of poisons) 🌿 Tianyu will appear on the skin when worn (but only the dying can see it clearly) He carved the two into a bracelet, and when he encountered bandits one night, the bracelet suddenly broke by itself – ▪️ A thorn wall grew where the agarwood beads fell ▪️ A knife-wielding mountain god walked out of the green light emitted by the Tianyu beads 🌿 The surviving caravan members all said that they heard a female voice humming an ancient love tune, and all the dead bandits had a camellia carved from jade blooming on their chests. The mountain god’s curse and blessing:
▫️ When agarwood protects its owner, it will grow barbs that pierce the blood vessels
▫️ Every time the field jade saves a life, it will have more cracks
▪️ When the jade is completely broken, the wearer will become a new “mountain guardian” (modern spectral analysis has found that this type of field jade contains plant fibers, and human collagen components have been detected in agarwood)
