“The Glimmer of Green Diamonds”
Jewelry designer Wen Yan accidentally found an uncut green diamond in an African mine. A local elder said: “This is the eye of the earth, which sees through people’s hearts.” She polished the rough stone into a bracelet, and each bead retained its natural edges and corners.
At the international jewelry exhibition, no one was interested in Wen Yan’s works. When she was tidying up the booth late at night, the green diamond suddenly reflected the light and shadow of the forest under the moonlight. She remembered the scene of the miners’ children playing games with glass beads, and immediately tore up the design draft.
Three months later, her “Eye of the Earth” series made a sensation in the industry – charity bracelets made of green diamond scraps, each sold to sponsor a miner’s child to study. At the auction, the first string of works was sold at a high price by an African collector: “These lights are the stars of our hometown.”
Meaning: Green diamond bracelets symbolize purity and awakening, reminding us that the most precious thing is not flawlessness, but the courage to let the light illuminate others.
