“Bodhi Beads”
On a rainy night, Lin Xiu picked up a lost Bodhi bracelet at the gate of the temple. Each bead was round and had a hint of sandalwood.
The old monk said: “This bracelet recognizes its owner. It chose you.”
Lin Xiu didn’t care and put it on. Strangely, since he put it on, he always dreamed of a crying woman standing under a locust tree and repeatedly saying: “I’m sorry…”
He followed his dream to find an abandoned hospital on the outskirts of the city, and dug out an iron box under an old locust tree. Inside was a yellowed confession letter – thirty years ago, a medical accident was deliberately concealed, and the signature was his deceased mother.
The bracelet suddenly broke, and the Bodhi beads rolled into the mud. Lin Xiu knelt under the tree and finally understood that some debts need to be repaid by the living.

(The core of the story: cause and effect are not empty, the Bodhi bracelet guides the protagonist to uncover the dusty sins and redemption)
