“Five Blessings Crystal Bracelet”
When jewelry designer Lin Wan was collecting folk songs in Yunnan, she met an old craftsman of the Bai ethnic group. The old man strung five kinds of colored crystals into a bracelet and handed it to her: “Red beads bring blessings, yellow beads bring wealth, green beads increase longevity, purple beads bring prosperity, and white beads bring safety.” After returning to the city, Lin Wan’s design works suddenly became popular. But when she stood on the podium, she found that the five-color crystals had all faded into transparency. That night, the old man told her in a dream: “Blessings are like rainbows, they melt when you hold them in your palms.” She took apart the bracelet and distributed the crystals to: the emergency doctor who saved her, an old classmate who failed in his business, a deaf-mute girl who volunteered at an orphanage… Finally, she buried the white crystal in front of her mother’s grave. The following spring, Lin Wan found five wild flowers of different colors growing out of the cracks in the floor tiles in the studio, arranged in the shape of a bracelet.
Meaning:
1. The five blessings are not about possession, but about circulation
2. Real crystals reflect the appearance of the giver
3. The most precious blessings often appear after letting go
(Core: Happiness is like pollen, sharing can breed a new spring)
